In the Farwest Region, the High Desert Alumnae Chapter (HDAC) was chartered by 14 extraordinary and professional women on September  17, 2006 at Emmanuel Temple Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Victorville, California. Today, with a dedicated community of members, the chapter stands at the forefront, actively shaping public policy, addressing social issues, and fostering opportunities for higher education through annual scholarships and youth development programs.

Inspired by the vision of the original 22 Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the members of this chapter uphold a legacy of sisterhood, academic excellence, and service to the community. Through distinct programs emphasizing our Five Programmatic Thrust, our chapter members continue to provide vital assistance to those in need and embrace the opportunity to unify and serve the community.

HDAC has initiated several projects and programs to empower our community by granting scholarships to graduating high school seniors, conducting voter registration drives, sponsoring community blood drives, the Dr. MLK Peace March, and promoting the sorority's national initiatives. HDAC sponsors Delta GEMS and Academy, a mentoring program for girls between the ages of 11-18; supports Alpha Connection group homes; provides Teen Summits, Kwanzaa celebrations, HBCU College and Career Fairs, donations to domestic violence shelters, Project W.A.R.M. donations to the homeless and community turkey giveaways.
