Delta G.E.M.S
An extension of the successful Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy empowers at-risk African-American girls aged 14-18. Focused on academic excellence, skill enhancement, goal setting, and community service, Delta GEMS cultivates a CAN DO attitude. Through self-reflection and mentorship, participants chart a path for academic success and future careers. Implemented by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority chapters, Delta GEMS helps girls discover their brilliance.
Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy
Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy empowers girls aged 11-14, enhancing their education in math, science, and technology. Through after-school programs, workshops, and outings, the Academy cultivates leadership skills and fosters self-esteem. Our goal is to prepare young girls to become 21st-century leaders, bridging the gap in academic achievement and building a bright future for them.
